Fruit Fair has done a lot of work in Chicopee and it is a wonderful community to serve and it is a very rewarding feeling to be recognized for the work that we have done. It used to be a food desert, classified by the USDA, and Fruit Fair will help keep from Chicopee from going back to being a food desert and help an under-served community.
We only had a dream of helping our community with homegrown, healthy food. As an immigrant, I feel if we don’t grow what we eat, we can’t have freedom. Even though we are a small independent store, we have really good deals that should be encouraging people to shop local and keep the money in the local economy.
